The foods that we consume provide the building blocks for every tissue in our bodies. Those same foods play an enormous role in determining our state of health at any given time. With all the conflicting information out there regarding diet and nutrition it's difficult to know whether the foods you're eating on a daily basis are moving you towards health or away from it.
Current nutritional guidelines are of little help because they are not and never were based on a healthy gold standard. They are sickness standards; nothing more than the minimal daily requirements of certain nutrients to avoid disease or the maximum daily allowances to avoid toxicity.
